EVENT WILL GENERATE MORE THAN 2,000 ROOM NIGHTS AND MORE THAN $2.3 MILLION DOLLARS IN DELEGATE SPENDING FOR ATLANTIC CITY

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Monday, October 19, 2015) The Atlantic City Convention Center will welcome more than 3,500 mathematic educators of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Regional Conference and Expo into the facility, which will take place throughout three days.

Local Atlantic City businesses are expected to greatly benefit from the NCTM Regional Conference and Expo activity at the convention center over three days. The estimated delegate spending is expected to reach more than $2.3 million. In addition, more than 2,000 hotel room nights have been contracted by convention center visitors throughout the week.

The NCTM Regional Conferences & Expositions are an opportunity for individuals to learn the latest in mathematics education and exchange ideas with peers who understand the challenges as a math education professional. Each conference offers a wealth of professional development, networking and celebration opportunities, while attendees will sharpen their skills, gain new techniques and achieve professional goals.

Founded in 1920, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) is the world’s largest mathematics education organization, with 80,000 members and more than 230 affiliates throughout the United States and Canada.
