Atlantic City, NJ – Oct., 3, 2022 – In Q3, Meet AC and the Atlantic City Sports Commission hosted more than 20 events across the destination, with nine at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The economic impact showed a significant increase in Q3 over 2021 and 2022, resulting in 49,012 room nights booked for meetings, conventions and events, generating $57,621,932in revenue for the destination.

“We had a fantastic summer filled with nonstop events and conventions in Atlantic City,” said Meet AC’s President and CEO, Larry Sieg. “As we enter our busiest season of the year, we’re looking forward to hosting a variety of conventions and competitions that will continue to drive tourism to the destination through the end of the year. With major events like the U.S. Open Pool Championship, Pizza & Pasta Northeast, and the Atlantic City Marathon, Atlantic City is truly a year-round destination.”

Q4 SPORTING EVENTS IN ATLANTIC CITY

Mr. America
The Mr. America All-American Sports Festival will take place at the Atlantic City Convention Center from Oct. 7 - 9, 2022. The event will feature multiple bodybuilding, strength, and fitness competitions. The event expects 1,000 attendees, 580 room nights and $479,602 in economic impact.

US Open Pool Championships
Come see the reigning World Champion and 5-time US Open Champion American Shane Van Boening play other big names in the sport like Earl Strickland, Rob Hart and Jennifer Barretta.  At the event, a field of 256 players aim to take down one of the most prestigious titles in pool in the U.S. Open Pool Championships, taking place at Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center on Oct. 10-15, 2022. The event expects 1,500 attendees, 2,280 room nights and $1,889,887 in economic impact.

Atlantic City Marathon & Half Marathon, 5K & 10K
Established in 1958, the Atlantic City Marathon is the third oldest continuing marathon in the United States. The marathon course is noted for being fast and flat, including eight miles of oceanfront Boardwalk running. The races will take place on Oct. 23, 2022 and will feature a marathon, half marathon, 5k and 10k stretches. The event expects 2,000 attendees, 460 room nights and $544,523 in economic impact.

WILD Dance Intensive
WILD Dance Intensive is a unique one-day dance intensive that tours across the U.S. WILD’s main priority is offering dancers a one-of-a-kind dance experience in an encouraging, fun, and creative environment. The event will take place at the Atlantic City Convention Center on Oct. 23, 2022. It expects 400 attendees, 50 room nights and $95,027 in economic impact.

DEKA World Championships
The DEKA World Championships is a two-day event celebrating fitness for all levels at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The fitness competition revolves around ten machines that test endurance and strength in different ways, like rowing, ski ERG and biking. The event takes place from Nov. 19-20, 2022 and expects 1,000 attendees, 192 room nights and $251,412 in economic impact.

Santa Hustle
Come experience the magic of the Santa Hustle Atlantic City 5K, Half Marathon, and Kids Dash on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022 at Brighton Park in Atlantic City. With festive music, outrageous holiday decorations, and thousands of runners dressed like Santa, this is a holiday event you don’t want to miss. The event is expected to bring in 700 attendees, 600 room nights and $751,703 in economic impact

 

Q4 CONVENTIONS, CONFERENCES & EVENTS IN ATLANTIC CITY

Atlantic Coast Veterinary Conference
For more than 30 years, the annual Atlantic Coast Veterinary Conference has been providing valuable educational information to everyone in the veterinary industry. The conference will be held at the Atlantic City Convention Center from Oct. 10-12, 2022. The event expects 2,000 attendees, 1,550 room nights and $1,676,785 in economic impact.

Pizza & Pasta Northeast
The fourth annual Pizza & Pasta Northeast will showcase top suppliers for Northeastern pizzerias and Italian restaurants at the Atlantic City Convention Center from Oct. 16-17, 2022. The two-day show features a schedule of pizza and pasta demonstrations by top chefs, seminars and workshops given by industry leaders, and special presentations from featured keynote speakers. The event expects 5,000 attendees, 1,323 room nights and $2,865,375 in economic impact.

2022 Garden State Council SHRM Annual Conference & Expo
The 2022 Garden State Council SHRM Annual Conference & Expo will take place at the Atlantic City Convention Center from Oct. 16-18, 2022. Attendees can expect over 13 sessions and networking opportunities about advancing the HR profession during the three-day event. The event expects 650 attendees, 480 room nights and $419,527 in economic impact.

2022 Annual NJ School Boards Workshop
From Oct. 24-26, 2022, a senior-level audience of school leaders, education professionals, and influencers in New Jersey education will gather at the Atlantic City Convention Center for quality professional development; important legal, legislative, policy and funding updates, new products and services, and to celebrate public education. The event expects 8,500 attendees, 8,375 room nights and $8,415,829 in economic impact.

Raw Health Canine Dog Food Expo
The Raw Health Canine Dog Food Expo will be held on Oct. 29, 2022 at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The expo features a Doggy Halloween Costume Contest, Live DJ, Police K9 demonstrations, games for children and adults and much more. This is the first time this event has been held. The event expects 540 attendees and $123,555 in economic impact.

2022 NJEA Convention
At the 2022 NJEA Convention, teachers, educational support professionals, college students preparing to become teachers, faculty and staff from the state's community colleges, and retired educators will enjoy more than 300 professional development seminars, workshops, and programs designed to help teachers and educational support professionals hone their skills and stay current in their subject areas and chosen fields. The convention will take place from Nov. 10-11, 2022 at the Atlantic Convention Center and expects 15,000 attendees, 3,349 room nights and $7,269,928 in economic impact.

New Jersey State League of Municipalities (NJLM) 107th Annual Conference
Local government officials, elected and appointed, can build their skills and their networks at a three-day event recognized for its excellence by attendees and exhibitors alike. The event will take place from Nov. 15-17, 2022 and the Atlantic City Convention Center. It expects 22,000 attendees, 8,280 room nights and $12,253,621 in economic impact.

ImportExpo 2022
For the past 12 years, ImportExpo has been a leading automotive brand producing quality industry car shows and motorsports events in Canada and the United States. This year’s event in Atlantic City will be held at the Atlantic City Convention Center on Nov. 20, 2022. The event expects 2,800 attendees and $640,661in economic impact.

Action Expo
Action Expo brings together the top manufacturers, retailers, reps, gurus and groms in action sports and youth culture. Over 300 action sports brands and approximately 600 retail buyers are set to participate in the Expo. The event will take place from Nov. 30 - Dec. 1, 2022 at the Atlantic City Convention Center. It expects 200 attendees, 60 room nights and $86,146 in economic impact.

Triple Play REALTOR Convention & Trade Expo
The Triple Play REALTOR® Convention & Trade Expo has attracted thousands of REALTORS®, brokers, appraisers, and other real estate professionals to the largest real estate convention and trade show of its kind in the U.S. Participants travel from coast-to-coast and around the world to learn about the newest and most exciting developments in real estate products and services. The event will take place from Dec. 5-8, 2022 at the Atlantic City Convention Center and expects 8,255 attendees, 3,905 room nights and $5,198,360 in economic impact.

MAHTS 2022 Mid-Atlantic Hardscaping Trade Show
The Mid-Atlantic Hardscaping Trade Show (MAHTS) is the original comprehensive Hardscape event, originating in 2001. MAHTS features both classroom and hands-on training conducted by industry experts as well as arena settings showcasing a variety of construction techniques and Hardscape materials. This year’s event takes place from Dec. 6-9, 2022 at the Atlantic City Convention Center. It expects 3,000 attendees, 1,196 room nights and $1,798,311in economic impact.

 

WHAT'S NEW IN ATLANTIC CITY

Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa Announces Old Homestead Steak House Renovations

Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa will open an Old Homestead Steak House pop-up location beginning Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022. The intimate dining experience, located in the former Fornelletto space, will exclusively serve Old Homestead menu items Tuesday through Sunday, with signature items such as the 34 oz. Gotham Rib Steak, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, and the Australian Baby Rack of Lamb. The pop-up will serve as a temporary home for Old Homestead as the current restaurant space closes for an exciting remodel. The redesigned venue will reopen in late 2022.

Spiegelworld at Caesars Atlantic City
Spiegelworld will resurrect the historic Warner Theatre incorporating its heritage 1929 façade that sits on the center of the Boardwalk at Caesars Atlantic City. Spiegelworld's arrival in Atlantic City will help to reaffirm the city's reputation as an entertainment destination for the entire East Coast and beyond. As part of Caesars Entertainment's $400 million commitment to its Atlantic City resorts, the Spiegelworld Theatre is expected to open in summer 2023.
